The Ermita de la Caridad is a chapel that was built on land where a Moorish mosque once stood, in what used to be the street where the butchers used to purvey their wares.

At first it was called Santa Clara, and then changed its name to the Ermita de la Caridad, and the street was also named after it.

The chapel has three naves separated by an arch. The original image selected in the 18th century was of the patron saint of the town and was a gift from the Catholic Monarchs. The current image replaced the original that was burnt in a fire in 1936 during the Spanish Civil War.

Opening times vary depending on the month. We recommend you visit the website at www.lojaturismo.com or call on (0034) 958 321 520.
