Centro de Interpretación del Agua de Loja
The Agua de Loja Visitor Centre, as its name indicates, is located in the province of Granada in the town of Loja. The centre is on two floors.
The ground floor has:
Total Immersion Hall: it consists of a giant interactive panel with information on water. Next to it, there are three modules representing the three states of water: solid, liquid and gaseous. This hall also includes subjects relating to water in general and its characteristics.
Patio: a typical Mediterranean forest has been recreated, with different conifer species.
History Hall: with extensive, complementary information on the historical aspects of the themes addressed in the surroundings. For this purpose a labyrinthine glass structure has been assembled serving as a metaphor for a city that is being examined and which reveals the details of the relationship between Loja and the civilizations that have inhabited it and the use they have made of the water.
The first floor has:
Environment Hall: this area consists of modules in the form of drops of water at different heights and glass cubes which are a clear reference to the building and which take visitors on a tour simulating a riverbed.
Laboratory and Studio/Library: where experiments can be made.
Audiovisual Hall.
