The Bodega Los Barrancos is located in Lobras, about 80 km south east of Granada, next to the road from Cádiar to Albondón. The 8 hectares of the wine-cellar's vineyards are divided into 4 areas growing the varieties of grapes used to produce wines within the Vino de Calidad de Granada Protected Designation of Origin, sub-sector “Contraviesa-Alpujarra”. In 2004 they began to practise Organic Agriculture, and have been certified as organic since then, Since 2011 they have been producing organic wine.

The Bodega Los Barrancos produces three, wines each with a very different character: “Cerro de la Retama” (Tempranillo and depending on the year, Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon), elegant and intense; “Loma de los Felipes” (Tempranillo, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon), full-bodied; and “Corral de Castro” (Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon), expressive. The three wines are produced exclusively from grapes from their own vineyards. Depending on the vintage, ageing varies between 12 and 16 months in barrels of American and French oak.

During your visit to the wine-cellar you'll learn about the production process, the characteristics of the climate and the soils in the area, a unique landscape that makes all the difference when it comes to producing elegant wines with intense aromas.
