Estadio Municipal de Linarejos
The Linarejos stadium is the home stadium for Linares Deportivo. It is situated in Linares (Jaén). It was opened on 15 August 1956 with a friendly match between Real Jaén CF and Valencia CF. Both teams were in First Division back then. The sports area covers 37,000 square metres, and the facilities include:
- Football pitch with natural grass
- Dirt football pitch
- Five-a-side football pitch
- Tennis court
- Basketball court
The Linarejos football field has been remodelled several times. The most important upgrade took place in 1973, when Linares CF was promoted to Second Division: the lighting was installed and more stands were built, so there was room for 10,000 people.
The stadium has hosted important Spanish football matches, and musical events with concerts by the best current bands and soloists.
