Palacio de los Zambrana
The Palace of the Zambranas, in the historic quarter of Linares, between Calle Alonso Povés and Calle Huerta de las Eras, was built in the first half of the 17th century, in the Mannerist style. Listed as a Palace-House in 1997, it is very elegant with its austere, rectangular façade. This is divided into two sections and the doorway is off centre. Above it are the crests of the Zambranas, Olids, Dávalos and Riberas. Topping it off, the drying tower stands out.
Throughout history, it has had various uses, such as a noble palace, 1st Industrial School, a barracks for the infantry, old folks' home, etc.
