Fábrica de Fudición La Constancia
The metal construction factory La Constancia, in Linares, was founded by the brothers Caro in 1870. Its aim was to manufacture all kinds of constructions to support mining, agriculture and the railways. Its consolidation and growth are fast and, at the end of the 19th century, it is positioned amongst the main metal construction companies in the country, and thus manages to form part of the most important construction company at the start of the 20th.
From the old iron forge, the emblematic buildings of the offices are preserved, the characteristic forged iron gate, which allows access to them, and the raised water tank located a few metres to the east of these facilities.
After its renovation, it houses the municipal offices of the School Workshop and Municipal Centre for Information for Women.
