The Town Hall or Council Building of Linares is a building in Neoclassical style built between 1865 and 1876, by architect Jorge Porrúa Moreno, with decoration in Modernist terracotta and an imperial staircase.

It is square with a central courtyard with a triple archway and structured into two sections, the façade of the lower section has a large main door and a series of three windows with semicircular arches, with lattice work on both sides and pilasters in Corinthian style. The upper section has the same alignment on the windows as on the lower floor, but the Corinthian pilasters stand out in the upper part.

The centrepiece built in 1879 stands out on the façade. Over the main balcony, there is a small niche with a clock, designed by the artist from Linares Francisco Baños Martos, which plays — on the hour — a fragment of the melody “Estudio sin luz”, written and performed by the famous Master of the guitar Andrés Segovia.
