Larva
This little village is situated to the south east of the province, between the Sierra del Pozo and Sierra Mágina Mountains. Its landscape is mainly dominated by olive groves.
History
The original site of the village was formed around a spring on the Cortijo de San Pedro estate and belonged first to Quesada and later to Cabra del Santo Cristo. Its history runs parallel to the other villages of the AREA. Economic activity based on the esparto grass made its population reach 2,000 by the 1950s. The decline in this activity brought about the decline of the village economy.
