El Balcón de Lorca

Located in the Lanjarón area, and part of Hotel España's facilities, El Balcón de Lorca Restaurant has three spaces: bar-café, dining room and terrace. Guests can dine and/or enjoy tapas in the area of their choice.

Both the bar and restaurant are decorated following the aesthetics of the rest of the building: with antiques from the first decades of the 20th century, and photographs and texts by Federico García Lorca, etc. Presiding over the dining room is a piano that Federico García Lorca and Manuel de Falla, among others, once played.

El Balcón de Lorca offers all kinds of dining services, ranging from breakfast and afternoon snacks to an à la carte service, set menu (menus are changed twice daily), a menu of sharing dishes and varied tapas. Meals can be prepared to order, for groups, celebrations, etc.

Traditional, Mediterranean and especially Alpujarra cuisine is served. Dishes are served with creative and personal touches.

Other information

Regarding its capacity, it also has a function room that can accommodate some 250-300 people.

Schedule

The café is open at 8.30 am and does not have a set closing time. The restaurant is open from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm and from 8 pm to 11 pm (approximate opening times; during high season they are usually extended). Open all week. Closed 8-31 January and 1-4 September.
