Located in the district of La Puebla de Cazalla, the Plaza de Andalucía is behind the Town Hall. The square was designed by Francisco Moreno Galván, a brilliant local artist from La Puebla de Cazalla.

It occupies the site of what used to be district's provisions market which has now disappeared. The square takes the form of a patio surrounded by columns with semicircular arches that remind you of the cloisters in a convent. Galván was inspired by a poem by Gerardo Diego which said “a sombre fountain in the centre and a cypress in the background”, as is the case for this square.
