Museo Arqueológico de La Puebla de Cazalla
Located in La Puebla de Cazalla, in the Hacienda Fuenlonguilla, the Archaeology Museum aims to provide visitors to the city with a better understanding of its popular culture and customs. It contains a series of material elements that show displays, places, goods and activities that represent or constitute excellent forms of the expression of popular culture, ways of life, uses, traditions and financial means.
The archaeological collection presents evidence that shows what different towns, peoples and cultures have left us over the course of millennia. This collection is split into independent units, enabling visitors to learn about different periods and times, and explaining and showing the most characteristic traits of the cultures included in each. Thus, there are five separate spaces in total that correspond to the following stages: Prehistory (500,000-1000 B.C.), Protohistory (8th century to 3rd century B.C.), History (3rd century B.C. to the mid-15th century A.D.).
There is another area dedicated to the Castillo de Cazaba de la Frontera, as it is a place where different peoples and cultures met throughout millennia and, therefore, where the history of La Puebla de Cazalla unites. Here, a model shows how the Castillo de Luna may have appeared in the 14th century.
