This fair, which commemorates the birth of the new wine, is a Royal Fair, a title given by King Henry III in 1398, and has been declared an event of Andalusian Tourist Interest.
The event takes place in two settings: the Doña Elvira de Ayala Fairground and the Plaza de España. There are different marquees where visitors can enjoy local cuisine and wines of the area: the children’s one (with a toy library and children’s workshops), the Municipal one (for everyone, with concerts and orchestras), the Youth one and the brotherhoods, clubs and associations one, amongst others.
On Sunday there is an interesting parade of horses and carriages, and the best decorated ones win a prize.
