Biography
Tomasa Guerrero Carrasco was born in Jerez de la Frontera in 1968 She is a gypsy from the neighbourhood of Santiago and learnt how to sing in the heart of her family from Lebrija She began to perform professionally under the wing of Manuel Morao in circles in her homeland Her first great step was her collaboration in Manolo Sanlúcar´s record Tauromagia This helped her appear in solo in many Andalusian festivals until Pepe de Lucía produced her first record, entitled A la luna nueva She worked in the 'tablao´ Zambra in Madrid and even record an album of Spanish songs However, currently she is considered one of the best existing female singers
