Gobierno Lagoon
The Gobierno Lagoon is a completely restored 20-hectare designated nature reserve located approximately 800 metres from Lantejuela. Species like the pink flamingo, the white-headed duck and the mallard nest and roost here.
Of the nine lagoons that originally formed the Lantejuela Endorheic Complex, the Gobierno Lagoon is the only one that has water all year round. This is thanks to the purified water that flows from the village of Lantejuela into this natural lagoon.
To facilitate bird watching and promote the use and knowledge of this nature area, there is an observatory beside the Gobierno Lagoon which the tourist office opens on request.
