José Luis Postigo es el guitarrista más solicitado por los artistas profesionales para el acompañamiento del cante y baile.
Ha actuado en solitario y formando parte de diversas compañías en escenarios de cuatro continentes.
Biography
He was born in Seville in 1950. He started as a flamenco dancer, and then started playing the guitar. He quickly became one of the main figures in Andalusian festivals because of his excellent qualities for accompanying singing and dancing by the most important artists.
In 1983 he won the Manolo de Huelva award in the Cordoba National Flamenco Art Contest, and that same year the Chair of Flamenco Studies and Andalusian Folklore Studies in Jerez de la Frontera gave him the highest award - the National Flamenco Guitar Award.
He has released many albums and one of his most significant performances was in the Flamenco Biennale in Seville. He has toured many countries with different artists and has performed in many flamenco clubs and culture centres.
