Jardín Museo de Kitty Harri
Located 15 kilometres from Almuñécar, between the towns of Jete and Itrabo, the Kitty Harri Garden Museum offers a unique attraction in Andalusia.
The Kitty Harri Garden Museum is located in the mountains and looks over the beautiful Valle Tropical offering magnificent views, both of the mountain ranges of Almijara and Cazulas and the Mediterranean Sea. The gardens are continuously evolving and have a great number of palm trees, shrubs and trees from all over the world.
This lush tropical garden is home to an exhibition of more than 150 sculptures by some 15 international artists. About half of the sculptures are works by Kitty Harri (an internationally renowned writer under the name of Kitty Sewell) and the rest are donations or are on loan from other renowned artists.
Entry is by donation to the Association: €10 per person (Sunday). €15 per person at other times (or groups on weekdays).
Open to the public the first and third Sunday of the month from 10am to 4pm. For the rest of the days prior booking is required (minimum 5 people),
A visit on Sunday includes a glass of wine and nibbles. On Open Sundays there is always classical Baroque chamber music to accompany your visit, played by Nick on his harpsichord (cembalo) together with visiting string and wind musicians.
