Circuito de Velocidad de Jerez
Inaugurated in December 1985, the Jerez Motor Racing Circuit has been holding competitions at the highest level for over 25 years. It is one of the circuits throughout the world most requested for private training, both for motor bikes and for racing cars, as well as for the presentation of new vehicles, driving lessons, free riding, shooting films, etc.
For the motorbike riders Jerez is the benchmark, together with Assen. Its thirteen bends play an important role in setting up the mechanics. It is 4,423 metres long (4,428 with the chicane) with a variety of low, average and high speed bends, technically ideal for fine-tuning the mechanics as recognised by the great competition teams for both specialities who have made it their “benchmark circuit” for training year-round and especially in the pre-season.
There is also a service of Guided Tours around the facilities, and it has now become possible to visit restricted areas like the Podium, Race Management, VIP Platform, Press Room, etc. There is also a flamboyant permanent exhibition in the Museo del Motor, where you can see exhibits relating to the most famous drivers in Motorbike Racing and Formula One like: Ayrton Senna, Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton, Jarno Trulli, Ángel Nieto, Sito Pons, Valentino Rossi, Marc Márquez, Alex Criville, Jorge Martínez Aspar, as well as getting a close look at the most advanced technologies in Formula One and Motor GP.
With over 3,200 hours of sunshine a year, the Jerez Circuit can be used 365 days a year, which is why it is one of the most popular circuits on the international scene. The exceptional added value is that visitors have Jerez as the nearest urban reference, a modern and cosmopolitan city that offers a variety of cultural, gastronomic and leisure activities.
