Cerámicas Jugum
Jugum Ceramics, as well as being a showcase for the creativity of Andalusian craftsmen, is a perfect example that when talking about crafts, we do not talk about mere producers, but of people who combine myriad talents.
Fine examples of this are Mª Ángeles Sánchez, Antonio Bellido Ramos and María Isabel Durán Álvarez, 3 ceramics craftspeople who began their work in 1979 after 4 years' training and decided to form Jugum Ceramics Cooperative of Andalusia.
This cooperative has gained the ISO 9001: 2008 standard for design and artisan manufacture, educational exhibition of traditional pieces and the design and teaching of training workshops. It has also participated in various PRODER projects (Programme of Development and Economic Diversification of Rural areas) and has contributed to promoting the crafts, with projects such as setting up the Ceramics Museum with the main production area on the top floor..
These three craftsmen were awarded the Master Craftsman Charter on 17 January 2012.
