The wine stalls of Jerez are an essential part of the city's cultural heritage. Originally wine shops where wine was served in bulk, directly from wooden barrels, these establishments have evolved into unique spaces that combine gastronomy, tradition and art. Although their name in Spanish (tabancos) suggests a possible connection with the sale of tobacco, their true essence lies in the offering of Sherry wines, such as Oloroso, Amontillado, Fino, Moscatel or Pedro Ximénez, accompanied by simple but delicious tapas.
