Museo del Enganche aims to promote, disseminate and keep the tradition of carriage driving alive by combining a rich material heritage and the new technologies. It was opened in 2002 and located in an early 19th century winery. This Museum is the only one of its kind which is displaying carriages, harnesses, horses and equestrian costumes in one place.

The museum consists of six rooms or spaces enabling the visitor to take an active tour through the world of horse driving, a journey where the visitor can enjoy an excellent collection of carriages and harnesses exhibited in conjunction with innovative multimedia systems.

The main room exhibits the most emblematic carriages, dating back from the 19th and 20th centuries, along with a complete collection of the best maintained harnesses and all the carriage driving equipment. The tour continues on through to the stables, where we feel the horses' heartbeat, and through the work areas, where we watch how the grooms wash and harness the horses as well as taking care of the carriages and their equipment, completing the multidimensional aspect between both the room containing the carriages and the stables, in addition to an audio-visual system which shows us how the Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Ecuestre live. This system allows us to follow the life of our horses 24 hours a day.

The "Salón 1810" (Tack Room and old Winery), is an area used for temporary exhibitions which contains more carriages from the museum’s collection. Here we can see how the grooms look after the horses and clean, grease and polish the tack, making this experience an added value to the visit of this living accessible museum. The costume room, located in the old winery still, exhibits a permanent collection of equestrian costumes.
