The Taberna Pilar del Arrabalejo is a typical Andalusian tavern serving the best tapas and using top-quality products.
The restaurant is decorated with antique furniture and the menu includes specialities typical of the local cuisine from Jaén: almoronía (traditional vegetable stew), cod with egg-yolks or a la franciscana, larded pork loin, cured game, partridge and pig’s trotters with snails.
There are excellent home-made desserts, like "gachas" (a kind of porridge) with aniseed and "la naranja de monja" (a kind of orange-flavoured doughnut).
Monday–Sunday: 12.30pm to 5pm and 8pm to 1am.
