Santa Capilla de San Andrés
One of the interesting features of the Santa Capilla de San Andrés is the main altarpiece dating from the 18th century. The most outstanding feature is the Chapel of La Inmaculada with a beautiful Baroque altarpiece, a Mudejar pulpit gate and a panel with the Virgen de la Luz.
The chapel is covered by an exquisite Gothic-Mudejar dome, while its entry is sealed by a large wrought-iron gate, a 16th-century work by the Maestro Bartolomé which depicts the Embrace before the Golden Gate.
It is possible that the Santa Capilla de San Andrés had formerly been the synagogue for the city of Jaén.
