Count of Torralba Tower
The most visible remains of the Arab wall, which started from the castle of Santa Catalina and went down the mountain surrounding the city, is Count of Torralba Tower. It was reinforced and expanded by the Christians, and after being used almost solely for defensive purposes, it was used as for the purpose of collecting taxes, as taxes were collected at its doors and gates on goods entering and leaving the city.
The Count of Torralba Tower is made of ashlar and has a large room with three arrow slits through which light is projected. It is accessed from the parapet covered by two brick arches. It was restored in 1972.
