The Church of the Convent of San José de los Padres Carmelitas Descalzos in Jaen, founded in the 16th century, of which today only the lady chapel and conventual church of San José remain.

The recently restored church, which has a Carmelite façade with a niche, houses the chapel and lady chapel of Jesus, designed in the 17th century to house the famous Renaissance sculpture of Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno ("The Grandfather"), belonging to the brotherhood founded in the same convent of San José in 1588 and which is carried out at dawn on Good Friday before thousands of devotees.

On the façade there is a beautiful terracotta sculpture of San José made by Paco Tito.

Visiting hours: From Monday to Saturday from 9 am. to 1 pm. and from 6 to 8:30 pm. Sunday and holidays from 10 am. to 1 pm.
