Church of San Juan
This is one of the oldest churches in the city. According to Dean Mazas, councils were already being held in this parish church as early as the late 15th or early 16th centuries. Adjacent to it is the Council tower, which is famous for its bell with Gothic lettering and its carved cross. This tower is adorned by the city's official clock. Throughout the ages it has undergone numerous transformations which have altered the interior appearance.
The notable aspects of the interior are the statues in the sculptural ensemble of the good and the bad theives and the 16th-century crucifix, attributed to the local sculptor Sebastián Solís.
