The Puente Tablas Visitor Centre is located in an urbanisation near Jaén, in a place called Puente Tablas. This centre was built on a hilltop and comprises two buildings: the highest one serves as an entrance and reception hall. The second one is extended and holds the exhibition area dedicated to the lifestyle of the inhabitants of this aristocratic Iberian city, with strong links to the agricultural cycle and dating from between the 7th and 3rd century BC.

The Puente Tablas Visitor Centre is an addition to those already existing within the framework of the Journey to Times of the Iberians Trail: The Cerrillo Blanco Necropolis, in Porcuna, the Museum of Iberian Votive Offerings in Castellar, the Iberian- Roman City of Cástulo in Linares, and the Princely Tombs of Toya and Hornos in Peal de Becerro.

The Iberian hill settlement of PuenteTablas is located about four kilometres from Jaén. The research undertaken shows an Iberian township founded on an earlier settlement from the late-Neolithic period and, subsequently, a pre-Iberian village dated in the period known as the Late Bronze Age. The Iberian settlement was constructed over this substratum between the 7th and the end of the 3rd century, BC, when it was abandoned.

From Tuesday to Saturday from 9 am. to 3 pm. Mondays and Sunday: Closed.
