It began in 2000 and has managed to become nationally and internationally popular festival. It presents local culture at its best and is a member of the Spanish Association of Classical Music Festivals, FestClásica, alongside over 40 other festivals all over Spain.
There are many concerts and shows – classical music, dance, plays, conferences and art exhibitions.
Darymelia Theatre and the Infanta Leonor Theatre will be two of the stages of the Autumn Festival.
The festival is organised in collaboration with the Provincial Council of Jaén, Andalusian Agency for Cultural Institutions-Ministry of Culture and Heritage, Unicaja Foundation, Software DELSOL, Aqualia, Bankia-Caja Granada, Obra Social La Caixa, Coaatja, Grupo Ávolo, University of Jaén, Jaén Cathedral Council, Paradores, Official Association of Architects, Calderón, Jaénwifi, Grupo Eulen.
