Fair in honour of Saint Luke

The Fair in honour of Saint Luke is celebrated in the city of Jaén in October, the feast day of the Saint.

This is the last of the spring and summer fairs of Andalusia and Spain, plus the last show of the bullfighting season.

Considered to be the main fair in Jaén, in times gone by it was an important stock and agricultural fair. The programme organised each year by the Town Corporation includes cultural events, bullfights, sports and games. The clubs, religious guilds, companies and different social and economic institutions collaborate with the Department of Culture, Tourism and festivals to install caseta type booths for dances and other attractions.
