Aceites San Juan
Located on the Los Olivares Industrial Estate in the city of Jaén, the San Juan Cooperative is an association of olive farmers established in the heart of the city since 1955. Tradition and knowledge for producing the best “Fuente Peña" virgin and extra virgin olive oil, which blends the fruit of old and young olive groves, from the mountains and the surrounding countryside, which produces a balance between the fruity, bitter and spicy characteristics that define the Picual variety of Jaén.
Discover first-hand the production process for extra virgin olive oil (AOVE), from the countryside to the mill. The visit details best practices in olive groves, the whole process for the extraction of virgin olive oil, the different qualities of oil that are obtained and the best preservation in the cellar. You'll also learn about the bottling process and all the health benefits provided by extra virgin olive oil, the basis of the Mediterranean Diet.
As a support to the visit, an informative video is projected and there is an organoleptic tasting for you to sample all the different extra virgin olive oils.
