Hotel Parador de Jaén
The privileged location of the Parador of Jaén on Santa Catalina hill gives it a defensive bastion character over the city horizon. Jaén is precisely the beginning and the end for those who wish to learn about Andalusian Rennaissance. The Parador has a swimming pool surrounded by stones, which makes it a cool area protected from the hot sun.
The hotel inside architecture is very interesting, with the amazing crossed arches 20 m high in the main lounge, a dining room with a strong Arab influence, and comfortable cosy rooms with amazing views, all of them painted in pastel colours. The gastronomy is rich, some examples of it being ajo blanco, partridge salad, pipirrana, and spinach Jaen style (with eggs).
