Jabalquinto
This little village is situated in the centre of the province, next to the Guadalquivir River, surrounded by olive groves, cereal fields and orchards.
History
During the al-Andalus period, this was a highly fortified AREA and, even today, remains of several castles, such as the Castle of Esclamel, can be found. The Arabs called it Geval Cantix.In the year 1009, the earl Don Sancho defeated the Arab troops of Almahadí in a battle that took place near the village.
