Charco del Canalón
Located in the district of Istán, the Charco del Canalón is a spectacular gorge carved out by the Rio Verde River, which is crossed by a channel whose waters form a waterfall over the river. It is a really beautiful spot and has pools where you can bathe.
The space has riparian vegetation consisting of oleanders, poplars, ash trees and willows. The fauna includes chub, barbell, viperine water snake and Spanish pond turtle, as well as a large number of birds such as nightingales, blackbirds, wagtails, etc.
It is part of the Istán- Charco del Canalón route.
