With a factory in Isla Cristina, Unión Salazonera Isleña, S.A. (Usisa) is an Andalusian company that has been dedicated to an age-old tradition for more than 40 years: the traditional production of salted and preserved fish.

Each year it processes more than 12,000 tons of fish (Tejero, Usisa and El Decano), working carefully with the ingredients that arrive at the facilities directly from the coast. Its objective: to continue providing consumers with an outstanding product. For this reason, as accompaniment to our preserves we only trust in the best olive oils and sunflowers oils from Andalusia. To achieve the fine, sensorial balance, we use a touch of sea salt and it's ready! The final result is a product with perfectly maintained organoleptic and nutritional properties. Its high content in fatty acids (Omega 3) is one of its main characteristics. Furthermore, it has a good ratio between proteins and unsaturated fats (typical of oily fish) as well as an important contribution of minerals and vitamins.

Today, Usisa is present throughout Spain and in part of Europe thanks to the trust placed in us, which is due to our brands and products. A fresh, quality ingredient, controlled and guaranteed production, in addition to a highly involved and qualified human team are the reasons why consumers are faithful to the company's flavour. As such, in 2003 the European Union recognised the Caballa y Melva de Andalucía Protected Geographic Indication (PGI), of which Usisa forms an integral part, alongside other canning companies in the region.

We are committed to the environment and sustainable development. We launch and form a part of projects that aim to cause the least impact possible on the surrounding environment. At Usisa, the tradition is to preserve what's natural.

Unión Salazonera Isleña collaborates with Huelva Marinera to offer an excellent experience via a visit to its factory facilities.

In addition to our factory store at La Dehesa Industrial Estate, we have shops in Valverde del Camino and Isla Cristina (Martínez Catena Dock). Our products are available in most supermarkets on the Peninsula.

Monday to Friday: 9am to 2.30pm.
