Our salt mines, featuring a complex network of hand-built pools and walls crafted from salt mud and wood, hold over 70 years of history.

The guided tour experience involves a walking tour of the salt mines, where visitors will have the opportunity to explore the privileged environment in which we find ourselves, admiring the flora and fauna that thrive in this marshland ecosystem.

During the walk, we will share the fascinating history of the formation of the Marismas de Isla Cristina Nature Reserve. We will explore the craft of the salt worker, recognised as Intangible Cultural Heritage, delving into their tasks and the tools they use.

In addition, we will provide a detailed explanation of how artisanal salt mines work, the types of salt extracted, and their uses and properties.

The visit concludes with a tasting of local wine and exquisite appetizers made with local products, such as tuna or shrimp from Huelva. For the younger guests, we offer an aperitif accompanied by water, soft drinks or similar options.

In addition, we offer a tasting of our various salts, including homemade unsalted potatoes, offering participants a complete and unique experience. Join us for an evening full of flavours and discoveries!
