Biography
Isidro Muñoz Alcón was born in Sanlúcar de Barrameda in 1952. He is the son of the veteran artist from Sanlúcar of the same name, and brother of Manolo Sanlúcar and José Miguel Évora. Isidro first started to work in the flamenco club in Madrid Las Brujas He has always been in Manolo's shadow, and he has accompanied him in almost all his tours and album projects However, Isidro Sanlúcar's talent is his production and composition work.
He has created styles for sevillanas groups such as his fellow townsmen Salmarina, La Doñana or Las Carlotas. His first great purely flamenco production was for El Pele in "La fuente de lo jondo", an album in which the incipient guitar of Vicente Amigo can be heard, and the singer from Cordoba gives his all.
He has also written lyrics for Las Grecas, Remedios Amaya, Gracia Montes, Azúcar Moreno or Camarón, the genius from La Isla for whom he composed the pieces he recorded for the film "Sevillanas", by Carlos Saura. He has collaborated in "Omega" by Enrique Morente and in Estrella's first album. His best current contributions have been "Aire" for José Mercé, in 2001, and for La Macanita.
