The Nuevo Colombino stadium is the home stadium for the oldest football club in Spain – Recreativo de Huelva. It was designed by Joaquín Aramburu, an architect from Huelva.

It is a modern and functional stadium that meets the club's needs. It is situated on the bank of the Huelvaestuary, on Avenida del Decano del Fútbol Español (previously called Avenida de Francisco Montenegro). An interesting fact about this stadium is that it is situated in the area in which the first football matches were played in Huelva in the 19th century. It was officially opened on 8 November 2001 and replaced the old Municipal Stadium, known as Colombino Stadium, which was built the Isla Chica neighbourhood in 1957.

The Nuevo Colombino stadium has a capacity of 21,670 in the stands, including 32 private boxes and 72 seats in the press box. It also boasts a press room (110 m2), a gym (226 m2) and large changing rooms. The main grandstand, which you get to from the outside, from an elevated area, affords views of the estuary. The ticket offices, official shop, Doyen Museum and a restaurant can also be found in the elevated area.

The Doyen Museum is one of the most important football museums in the world. It is divided into 5 areas and 12 installations, where visitors can discover the history of the oldest club in Spain and its importance in the history of Spanish football, by reading documents from the archives on the interactive panel with cutting-edge technology. Visitors can also take photos with virtual figures of their favourite players, read articles, newspaper clippings and pictures from the past, enjoy some of the club's main achievements and visit the display of trophies that it has won over 125 years.
