The Ibero-American Film Festival in Huelva is a major event in the world of the cinema, and one of oldest and most consolidated in Spain. Throughout its history it has undertaken the important task of introducing and evaluating Ibero-American films, acting as a launch pad for many productions to reach the European market. Since its beginnings it has attracted the most important from the world of films and its prize-winners include Joaquim de Almeida, Juan Luis Galiardo, Maribel Verdú, Ernesto Alterio, Manoel de Oliveira, Imanol Arias, Ángela Molina and Federico Luppi.

In addition to screenings in the different sections, the festival offers the public a complementary programme, delving into Latin-American issues, as well as the implementation once again of the Co-production Forum, where producers get together with film-makers to carry out their projects.
