16th century. Until the 20th century this was the main access to the city. Built with rectangular rubblework walls, it contains an outstanding coat of arms with a two-headed imperial eagle, as well as a variety of heraldic devises of the military governors of the period. The interior shelters a small hermitage dedicated to San Torcuato.
