Montserrat Pérez Hidalgo entered the sphere of crafts in 1988. Later she joined the Al-Yamir art ceramics cooperative, completing her training at the School of Applied Arts and Artistic Trades in Granada and through various courses, achieving such a high degree of specialisation that she obtained the Andalusia Nature Reserve trade mark for her products.

She has played a significant role in promoting her craft, not only because of her training and know-how acquired throughout her career, but also for her participation in competitions and fairs, and helping with the ROAPE Project for the recovery of trades in danger of disappearing, organised by the Regional Government of Andalusia.

She makes all types of ceramic pieces, like murals, bowls, trays, plates, amphorae, etc. to order in her workshop. Her craftsmanship guarantees excellent quality, backed by the production of limited editions.

In recognition of her work, on 17 January 2012, the Tourism, Commerce and Sport Council awarded her the Master Craftsman Charter.
