Estadio Municipal Nuevo Los Cármenes
The Nuevo Los Cármenes stadium, which is owned by the council, is the home stadium for Granada CF. It was named after the team's old stadium. The Nuevo Los Cármenes stadium was opened on 16 May 1995 with a friendly match between Real Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen. It has since been remodelled several times to upgrade and improve its rooms and facilities.
During the 2010-2011 season the stadium was fitted out with VIP boxes all around. They are enclosed in glass and include a catering service, TV, heating and air conditioning, and have room for 10/12 people. Most of them have been purchased by companies from Granada.
After being promoted to First Division of La Liga in 2011, additional seating was built to close the four corners of the stadium. The changing rooms in the Nuevo Los Carmenes stadium were remodelled in 2012 to make them suitable for First Division. They now look current, innovative and well-designed. The coaching staff's offices, changing room for referees and medical room were also refurbished.
In the 2012-2013 season a new high resolution video scoreboard was installed, which can be viewed perfectly from all round the stadium.
Capacity: 22,524 spectators (initially it was 16,200 but the number increased when the seats were joined and additional seating was installed in the corners in August 2011).
