Estadio de la Juventud de Granada
The Juventud de Granada stadium, which belongs to the Regional Government of Andalusia's Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, is situated next to Camino de Ronda, one of the city's main arteries (easy to access from the ring road), and close to the University area.
The first grand opening of the Juventud de Granada stadium took place in June 1946, with a truly spectacular programme that included many of the most innovative sporting events at the time.
The facilities were recently refurbished and after completing the first stage of the project, Granada started to recover one of its most important sporting venues.
As the Regional Government of Andalusia manages the facilities, they are able to offer sport as a leisure or health activity, which is increasingly in demand, as well as top quality services at very competitive prices for the public.
The old tennis courts have now been replaced with two paddle tennis courts. The old pool was removed, and the athletics track, the football pitch (currently with artificial turf), and the lighting, with four monopole towers, were fully renovated.
The programme of activities is divided into four groups:
- Health activities (pilates, postural reeducation, back clinic)
- Introduction to sports (football, paddle tennis, athletics, multi-sports pitches)
- Activities to keep fit (functional training, indoor cycling, power dumbbell, aerobics, Latin dance, pilates, etc.).
- Preparation for exam candidates
