Granada Golf Club, a match with the Alhambra and Sierra Nevada as witnesses
One of the unique features of this golf club lies in its surroundings.
Granada has that very special magic. Over the years many writers have made reference to the magic feeling surrounding the Nasrid capital. So how about golf? For almost three decades now the Granada Golf Club in Las Gabias has been the epicentre of golf in Granada and it is the leading social and sports club in the province.
One of the unique features of this golf club lies in its surroundings. It is just ten minutes from the Alhambra, an unrivalled Nasrid enclave and it stands under the attentive gaze of the snow that covers the peaks of the Sierra Nevada virtually all year round. While you're on the fairway of the 3rd hole we recommend you to take a couple spectacular photos as you play with the mountains in the background. You won't regret it!
Granada Golf Club is designed in such a way that there are a thousand ways of showing how good your swing is. The broad fairways will enable you to show off your drive, but watch out, if you overdo it, you'll pay the price on the greens! What we do know is that you'll always be smiling and you'll have plenty of chances to make your best score.
One of the great attractions of Granada Golf Club is, without doubt, its excellent school. Its facilities will enable you to become totally involved in the golfing world, to the point where you may even get to become one of the great international players of your time. The symbolof this school has a name: Scott Fernández, a player who is a standard bearer for current and future golf in Spain. He is currently playing on the European Challenge Tour but you'll certainly be hearing a lot more about him….
And after finishing your round? It's time to put your golf bag to one side and whet your appetite. the club's restaurant serves a wide variety of dishes all with a common denominator: Andalusian cuisine based on local ingredients. Sit down and enjoy anything from broad beans with ham to an Iberian pork fillet, but here is a little advice, always leave room for dessert, it really will be worth your while. Experience Granada!
