The school Carmen de las Cuevas, the first Spanish school founded in Granada in the year 1984, is a Spanish language school acknowledged by the Instituto Cervantes, as well as a leading Flamenco Centre, a popular choice owing to its spectacular location and authentic Andalusian ambience. It is perfectly situated between the historic neighbourhoods of the Albaicín and Sacromonte and, 30 years on, continues to combine experience and enthusiasm to provide a unique learning experience.

The school building, a charming whitewashed house cut into the hillside, boats several sun-drenched terraces with breathtaking views of the Alhambra. From the welcoming patio you can enter the library or the caves, where the flamenco studios are, and where students and teachers alike spend their spare time chatting over coffee or a snack.

The school’s friendly and relaxed atmosphere will make you feel at home from the moment you arrive at Carmen de las Cuevas, allowing you to really make the most of your stay with us. You will have your own key to the school, giving you access between 9:00 and 23:00h., 7 days a week, to all our facilities, including the library, video room, free internet and WIFI, 4 soundproof dance studios, the patio and of course the terraces with their magnificent views...
