Biodomo
Located in and city of Granada and within the Science Park, the BioDomo is a window of life, dedicated to education, conservation and research on the world's biodiversity. The BioDomo recreates the climate of the tropics and includes more than 250 species of animals and plants.
The BioDomo recreates different natural habitats of the tropical areas and rainforests most exuberant and diverse. These are some of the planet's “hot spots”: Places where biodiversity is at its height, but that is also subjected to unequalled environmental pressure that endangers that great environmental potential.
The BioDomo brings together land, air and water animals, with vegetation typical of the areas of origin: trees, shrubs, grass, epiphytes and vines, generating representations of these ecosystems and increasing the biodiversity of the BioDomo within its climate range.
