Ruta de las joyas desérticas

On the desert gems route is an area which has a great variety of landscapes and surprising desert areas, with amazing shapes and colours, huge dunes with a whitish colour, scored by the layers of salmon coloured earth, surrounded by spectacular rocks with red and yellow tones, forming a mixture of shapes and colours unique in Europe.

In the midst of this beautiful complex flows the great Guadalquivir of Cordoba and Seville surrounded by luxuriant riverbank vegetation, as if it were an oasis in the desert. Apart from the amazing photographic opportunities, the area offers the most diverse landscape from where we can see the soil and its history, reflected in its geology, minerals and the colours of its various layers, find peace and feel at one, as if we formed part of this amazing area.
