Getaway to the Motorbike Grand Prix in Jerez

For a few days every year, the Cadiz town of Jerez de la Frontera becomes a cathedral for world motorbike racing. How could you miss such a spectacle?
I have to confess that I'm not a huge fan of motorbikes, although, like most people, I have been on more than one and have also felt the famous "sensation of freedom” that the lovers of 2 wheels claim to experience.
However, after clarifying this point, I'm an unconditional fan of the atmosphere of Jerez and the surrounding areas during the days of the Grand Prix Moto GP!
As you get closer to the area, you can see that there is more movement than ususal. Naturally, in the centre of the festival, the Jerez Circuit is a frenetic movement between fans, team staff and workers, which grows as the hours go by and the time to the pinnacle nears on Sunday, competition day.

Sunday mornings, a painstaking puzzle of signs and people turn all the main roads in this area into entrance roads to the Circuit, while in the afternoon, they all become exit roads, so the task of moving together with some 50,000 bikes and other vehicles is not as complicated as you would expect.
And once in the Circuit, everything is prepared, signposted and guarded to make sure that everything happens with the maximum possible normality. In fact, the excellent organisation, both external and internal, contributes to the widespread good atmosphere and the perfect day at the races, which is not surprising when there are over 200,000 people I hear it's even won the ocasional Award.

In addition, if, like this year, there is magnificent weather, you mustn't forget your sun cream, hat, sunshade, water, fans a day out at the races almost seems like a day at the beach.

I found it to be a great discovery. Undoubtedly an experience that I hope to repeat on another occasion. So, until next time, Jerez!
