Fuerte del Rey
The village is situated to the north west of the capital, in the midst of Jaén"s countryside, offering a landscape with the olive trees, cereal fields and some orchards as its main features.
History
These lands, a favourite relaxing place for the Condestable Lucas de Iranzo, always were crown properties, which explains its name, except for a few years in the 17th century when they were sold to the Torredelcampo estate.It became an independent village in 1804.
