La Monclova Castle is situated in a massive estate in the countryside, in the Bajo Guadalquivir area, 61 km from Seville. It is part of the municipal district of Fuentes de Andalucía, and shares a border with Palma del Río, La Luisiana, Écija and La Campana. La Monclova Castle is owned by the Duke of Infantado, Iñigo de Arteaga y Martín. It is mainly used for agriculture, agribusiness and cattle farming. It is also the perfect place for all kinds of business, training, family and leisure events.

La Monclova Castle had a rectangular floorplan and boasted rectangular towers. There are remains of these towers in the northern and eastern corners. Although the site has changed a lot because of construction work carried out in the past, the oldest remains that are preserved date back to the 14th century: the keep and three stretches of wall that are part of the enclosure.

The keep is rectangular and has two superimposed chambers and a flat roof with parapet and pyramidal battlements. This tower was probably solid originally, but today it houses the palace's main staircase. You enter the castle through a porch with a semicircular arch resting on columns, with family coats of arms on the spandrels. There is a frieze that reads Completed year 1668.

The entrance leads to a large porticoed courtyard on three of its sides, with semicircular arches resting on columns and coats of arms of the Order of Our Lady of Mercy on the spandrels. The chapel today boasts a Castilian-style altarpiece dating from the 16th century, from the Castle of Viñuelas, Madrid, owned by the Duke of Infantado. The wooden doors are an example of 17th century carving.
