Located in the district of Fuente Vaqueros, the Federico García Lorca Theatre was opened on 5 June 2000 by Doña Carmen Calvo Poyato, ex-Minister of Culture for the Regional Government of Andalusia.

The extensive and varied theatre programme is complemented with flamenco shows, film screenings, congresses, conferences, music concerts and exhibitions.

It seats 354 spectators and the programme which has become consolidated over the years have made it a true cultural benchmark, so much so that it has become the venue for events such as Cultural Week, the celebration of Andalusia Day and a number of different cultural projects.
