Parque Yacimiento Romano Finca del Secretario
It is a fully integrated Roman villa partly urban and partly industrial. As an archaeological site it is catalogued under Roman pottery and ovens. It has a surface area of 2,380 square metres. This includes a factory (with a room for cutting up, tanks for salting the fish and a warehouse), ovens and thermal baths.
Pieces of an incalculable value have been found at this site, such as the Venus of Fuengirola, agricultural tools and thermal baths.
It was in use from the 1st century A.D. to about the 5th century. Access was formerly via a monumental stairway on which remains of wall paintings have been preserved, and which leads to a porticoed distribution patio (you can still see the bases of the 12 columns) and it was paved with a polychrome mosaic with geometrical figures.
